One Platform for Renting, Earning, and Moving

DoosDoos is an integrated mobility platform built for the Lebanese market, connecting vehicle owners, renters, passengers, and drivers through peer-to-peer car rental and transportation services. The platform combines vehicle rental and hosting, on-demand and shared rides, booking management, wallet operations, GPS-based experiences, real-time chat and notifications, OTP verification, document uploads, and structured vehicle handover and return workflows.

My Role & Contribution

I worked as a Frontend Developer on the DoosDoos web platform using React.js, collaborating with another frontend developer and the wider project team. My contribution focused on implementing responsive customer-facing interfaces, integrating REST APIs and platform services, supporting complex rental and mobility workflows, and performing QA across the product. I also participated in real-world testing to identify and help resolve UI, validation, functional, and integration issues.

  • Built responsive React.js interfaces across car rental, booking, ride, account, wallet, and vehicle-management workflows.
  • Integrated customer-facing flows with REST APIs, Google Maps, Pusher-powered real-time communication, OTP verification, and other platform services.
  • Performed QA across end-to-end rental and mobility journeys, identifying UI, validation, functional, and integration issues while collaborating with the development team on fixes.

Core Platform Experiences

The web experience brings together interconnected rental, booking, mobility, wallet, verification, and real-time workflows that I worked on through frontend implementation, integration, and testing.

  • Rental & Booking Lifecycle

Implemented customer-facing rental and booking flows across vehicle discovery, booking states, rental details, handover, active rental, return, and completion.

  • Wallet, Top-Up & Withdrawals

Implemented frontend wallet flows for balance management, top-ups, payments, earnings, withdrawal requests, and transaction history through integrated APIs.

  • Real-Time Chat & Notifications

Integrated Pusher-powered real-time chat and notifications to deliver messages and important platform updates without requiring manual page refreshes.

  • Ride & Shared-Ride Flows

Worked on customer-facing transportation flows covering ride requests, trip states, scheduled shared rides, and related location-based interactions.

  • Vehicle Handover & Return

Implemented rental verification flows requiring mandatory vehicle photos before handover and again before return, creating a documented state of the vehicle at both stages.

  • Document Upload & Verification

Implemented document-upload interfaces, validation states, and verification flows required across rental and account processes.

  • OTP Verification

Implemented OTP verification interfaces across authentication, booking, and other platform actions that required secure user verification.

  • Trip Status & Ratings

Implemented interfaces for trip-status progression and post-trip ratings, with completed ratings contributing to the associated vehicle's rating experience.

Technology & Integration

My frontend work combined React.js and Tailwind CSS with REST API integrations, Google Maps, Pusher-powered real-time communication, and OTP verification across interconnected rental and mobility workflows.

Frontend

  • React.js
  • Tailwind CSS

Integrations

  • REST APIs
  • Google Maps
  • Pusher · Real-Time Communication
  • OTP Authentication & Verification

Quality Assurance & Reliability

QA was an important part of my contribution throughout the project. I tested interconnected rental, ride, wallet, verification, upload, and real-time workflows, including real-world field testing used to validate the platform under practical usage conditions.

  • Tested end-to-end rental and booking journeys across booking states, vehicle handover, mandatory image uploads, active rentals, returns, and completion.
  • Validated wallet, OTP, real-time chat, notifications, document uploads, ride flows, ratings, and API-driven frontend states across different user scenarios.
  • Participated in real-world field testing to identify UI, functional, validation, and integration issues under practical usage conditions before launch preparation.

Product Outcome

  • Contributed to delivering a production-ready React web experience across complex car-rental and mobility workflows.
  • Integrated API-driven and real-time frontend experiences across bookings, wallet operations, communication, verification, and location-based flows.
  • Helped improve product reliability through continuous QA and real-world field testing before the platform was handed over for continued development.
